I agree with your writing, however it’s just as important to remember we’re not voting for a Savior (we already have Him). We are voting for a future that we believe will strengthen our country, regardless of which side that is. That doesn’t happen on November 5th, but in the years after through the decisions made by the President and the cabinet, because of the decision on November 5th. And I believe we must stay even closer to Jesus during all of this. 😊
Well my words are somewhat directed toward the attitudes that people carry with them in conversations about voting or they take to the polls where they may not say they believe that who we vote for will or won’t save us, but they sure act like it when it comes to how much hope and faith they put in one of the candidates. I think your posture here is healthy and good! But far too many people (Christians) shout that there’s no way Jesus would be a Democrat or others shouting there’s no way He’d be a Republican. And my point here is that Jesus’ politics are far more important than American politics and too many Christians have mixed up their priorities and where to place their hope.
