Crawling into Holy Week ✝️
Jesus rode in on a donkey - maybe even He needed to be carried with the weight of His burdens as He entered the city.
I don't know about you, but I feel like I'm crawling my way into this Holy/Passion Week. While I'll never understand the weight Jesus carried while carrying His physical cross and the weight of the world (literally) on His shoulders as He accepted our punishment on the cross in our place, I do have a cross to bear. You do too.
But the promise of Easter rings true - we are not carrying our cross alone, and that's the truth I'm gripping to as I crawl through this week - feeling heavy, stressed, overwhelmed, and somehow filled with a hope that is unexplainably awakening my soul.
Maybe you're like me - stumbling to find the light switch in this dark world this week. I pray this reassures you and gives you a glimpse of God's goodness despite the discouragement you might face.
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30
My prayer for you (and myself) is that we would slow down this week, accept the peace and grace Jesus offers by remembering who He is and what He's done for us.

Instead of taking on our earthly burdens by ourselves, we are called to share in Christ's burden and share the load with Him. For He says, "my burden is light."
I don't know about you, but I could use some relief from the heaviness of the burdens I am trying to carry on my own.

May this week be filled with humility, heartache, and the ultimate hope we find in Christ alone. May His light burdens replace yours. May you find yourself with an unexplainable peace beyond all understanding come this Easter morn'.
May you be filled with the same wonder and awe as Mary was when she was met with the Resurrected Savior we were all promised.
